Thermwell #AC5H 20x28x30 STD A/C Cover

thermwell cover
this product did exactly like i wanted. I would recommend it to anyone. i really like this product, it covered the inside of the air conditioner just like i had hoped.

Good AC Cover
Works as advertised. Fits a 15000 BTU air conditioner in my dining room fine. The included strap keeps the cover on the AC without additional straps.

just what I wanted
the cover is just the size I needed. I will know the quality next year when I take it off.

Range Kleen 7361 Replacement Plug-in Range Element

Quality doesn't last
I ordered 2 of these replacement burners in different sizes to replace worn out factory burners. I am not a heavy cook - I'm only cooking for one and my burners frequently go for a week or more without being used. That said, I was very happy with them when they first came, but exactly one year later, they are losing power and don't get red hot anymore. The original two burners (10+ years old) get red hot, but these replacement burners take 15-20 minutes just to boil water. I probably need to spend more for a higher quality to last the long run.

Good electric range coil replacements
Ordered these after an original coil of mine sparked and shorted out. Turns out the insulators near the tips can can wear out. Who knew? Anyway, these parts fit perfectly, and work great. Replaced all 4. I recommend everyone with an older electric stove think about doing so. Also, I replaced the electrical receptacles on the stove as well - after years of use, they too were in pretty scary condition...

Size not listed in sale ad
I don't find the size listed in this ad for this range heating element,is it 6" or 8"? Cannot buy unless I know the size.

BestAir HW2025 Honeywell Pleated Filter 20X25X4

Not a Honeywell .. totally generic
The filters arrived on time and undamaged. They are not, however, a Honeywell branded filter nor do they resemble the image provided except for the size. These are totally generic M8 filters. I bought them as backup since i installed my last one and none of our local stores carry 4" filters anymore. Time will tell but they look pretty cheap compared to what i have been using.

Great price
Walmart wanted over $30. The air conditioning supply store charges less but more than you. Al doesn't like the fact that it doesn't have more compact pleats.

Best Air HW2025 Honeywell Pleated Filter 20x25x4
Excellent product, easy use, and inexpensive . Most allergen products are a lot more money, but seems to fit the ticket.

Westinghouse 7861500 Contempra Trio Three-Light 42-Inch Five-Blade Ceiling Fan, Brushed Nickel with Frosted Glass Shades

Excellent Buy
This ceiling fan is an excellent buy for the money. I was pleasantly suprised at how it looked after I installed it in my Living Room. I have read the other reviews about the fan making noise, so I was a bit skeptical about buying it, but I bought it anyways. Boy I am glad I did! This is a really good looking ceiling fan. Gives the room a classy, but not too flashy look. Every person who has come to the house after I installed this has complimented on it. As far as noise, I experienced none. Just make sure when you put the blades together with the arms, make certain that the screws are good and tight. I used a cordless DeWalt drill with the torque setting set low to #12 to assure a good tight fit. I actually was so impressed with the looks and operation of this fan that I immeadiately went back to amazon.com and bought another fan exactly like this one, for my kitchen. Same review - absolutely no problems, none whatsoever. Shipping was very fast with the free super saver...

Easy install and quiet!
I have installed several ceiling fans in the past, but the people at Westinghouse really made the install easy with their fan. Unlike most fans which require you to hold the fan motor up while wiring it in, Westinghouse put a separate plug on their motor. You wire up the plug to the home outlet, then lift the motor up. Could not be easier. It took 30 minutes total to install.

The fan is very quiet during operation. The fan output is also very impressive.

I am very happy with the fan and would highly recommend it.

A few things you might like to know
1. This is a 3-speed-plus "off" fan with a reverse-direction switch and an attached light assembly. Both can be controlled by pull cords if desired.

2. The instructions are adequate, but assume knowledge of safe wiring and connection practices. This is not an absolute beginner's project, though if you have any successful experience in house wiring, you can probably do this.

3. For planning purposes, the complete job (removing old fixture and installing fan and light unit) took me a little over 2 1/2 hours. I am a careful and methodical amateur. You are working at the top of a ladder in awkward positions, so there is a high likelihood of dropping screws. If you are working over a deep pile carpet, put down a drop cloth or you will wish you had!

4. Westinghouse needs better quality control. There was a missing wire nut in the fan interface wiring which was instantly obvious, and there weren't anywhere near enough metal washers for the fan blade...

Shark Press and Refresh

AWESOME!
I like to think of myself as a true ironer. I love the look of pressed clothes and when i saw the press and refresh i knew i had to try it out. Although i have tried other garment steamers in the past and have been disappointed, i went ahead and purchased this product. The vertical ironing pad is amazing! It's so much easier to maneuver clothing on the pad when its hanging instead of trying to fight it on the ironing board. I think the best part was i don't have to worry about taking it down off my door to store! The steamer itself works great! I must admit, it took a few times of using it to get the hang of it. It's one of those products that you have to really get the technique down to appreciate it, but the results were great! I'm not advocating it will completely eliminate your iron, but it sure does give a nice pressed look to clothes especially those you would never want to touch your iron with. I was nervous in the beginning to try it on more delicate fabrics, but it really...

Very happy I bought this!
I am a working professional and I was looking for an easier way to care for my "dry clean only" clothing. I wear a suit daily and usually wear a shirt that needs special care. I hate ironing and I avoid buying clothing that tends to get wrinkly or needs ironing. I have owned steamers before and I have not been very impressed. After buying this steamer I was extremely impressed!
Here are the pros:
-It comes with great extras; lint remover, extra steaming pads, water fill cup that makes refilling the machine easy.
-The over the door idea is wonderful if you hate having to drag out an ironing board or have limited space. Even the little clips that come with it stay in place and grab your garments very well.
-It is ready to use in a minute. Easy to use.
-Unlike other steamers I have used this one comes with an extra way to get rid of wrinkles besides the steam. It has a wrinkle eraser pressing bar that has been really useful for getting tough wrinkles...

FITS THE BILL
I decided to write a review on this because I realized how much I depend upon these reviews to purchase items. I almost decided against buying this item because of some comments, but after reading others, it sounded like it "fit the bill" for me, and it has. First, this will not replace an iron. I have owned numerous steamers, including a heavy-duty retail model. You can't steam a man's cotton shirt and expect to get a crisp, starched look. Like some of the other reviewers, I was looking for a steamer to do a fast, touch up on suit wrinkles or blouses. For my lifestyle, ironing is not in the picture, so clothes are either sent to the cleaners or washed and quickly steamed. Someone had complained about the time it took to heat up. I timed it, and it was under 2 minutes. My biggest gripe about clothes steamers is the water dripping. I did not experience this with this steamer. It has a special head specifically to prevent it. I did notice that when I included the brush attachment,...

HAAN SI-40 Swivel Head Floor Steamer

Wonderful
Received this as a Christmas gift from my mom per my request because my Shark steam cleaner "ran out of steam" and I am do glad it did. The shark cannot even compare to this Haan. The Haan was very easy to put together and worked beaufuful. Very convenient that the water tank comes off to fill not an option with the Shark. Steam comes out automatically, with the Shark you had to literilly pump it to abtain any good amount of steam. Love the pads just place the mop on the pad and you are ready to go no pulling and tugging to put on the pad like I had to do with the Shark. Also like that it has an on and off button, something the Shark did not have.
Cleaned my kitchen floor very well. I also tried the carpet attachment (no it will not clean your carpet) but it did feel like it refreshed it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because the cord could be a little longer. I would hightly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to purchase a floor steamer...

Haan SI-40 Steam Cleaner
For the price the Haan SI-40 is well worth the money. The swivel head lets you get into places not easily reached. Water heats fast and makes the floors shine. I have used it on both hardwood and ceramic floors and was pleased with the results on both. I would recommend this product.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this steamer
I've never owned a steam mop before, but was persuaded to try it out by a co-worker. Our new home is about 75% tile and we have a puppy who, at the time, wasn't yet housebroken... I was mopping with the mop & bucket at least once a day and it was getting old. Fast.

Enter the HAAN SI-40 Swivel Head Floor Steamer. I still mopped daily, but the task was so much easier and healthier for my puppy than the old mop and bucket. And, IMO, the floors look and feel cleaner. Since you're only mopping with water, the floors no longer have that sticky film left behind from detergents and there are no streaks.

A lot of people on here say it doesn't get out stuck-on grime, but I disagree. You may have to go over it two or three times (just like you would with a regular mop?!), but it does come up. If it doesn't, I seriously have to wonder what exactly is on the floor and how long it's been there. We've...

DeLonghi 9-Cup Capacity Food Processor with Integrated Blender

Great processor
I really like this food processor. Of course, I came from having a blender that had a 2-cup processor attachment. I love that its a 9-cup and comes with a smaller 5-cup blender. I never blend huge amounts, but I use my food processor all the time to make things like hummus and sauces. It makes sense to have a bigger food processor. I've made pizza sauces, dumpling filling, and even soup. Its not the quietest in the world, but hey, I don't expect to be quiet when I'm processing food for less than a minute.

really 4 cup capacity
I bought this food processor because it was the only one that didn't have at least 1 one star rating. The 9 cup capacity is the food processor and the blender combine. The food processor holds 4 cups so I have to work in batches. Over all the food processor works great, I have been using it to do mass food prep and purees without any problems. The blender on the other hand, not so good. I have a glass Oster blender that works great so I will keep on using it.

Great deal!
I searched for a long time on line for a great food processor with wonderful reviews and actually found none. Even the expensive ones didn't have the best reviews. When I read the reviews on the DeLonghi, I was pleased, even though there were only 17 reviews. I thought because it was so cheap and included a blender it would be junk. Well, its not junk and I love it. It's only been a week, but it works great. Last year I purchased a Food Network processor thinking I would be getting top of the line quality, but when I first used it to grate cheese the lid was forced off while shredding! This happened repeatedly. Soon after, the mechanism that locks the lid in place broke completely off. Needless to say, I'm taking it back. Thank goodness Kohl's takes returns up to a year. The DeLonghi lid does not have any fancy mechanism for locking the lid to the base. It is just good old fashioned well-constructed quality. I will post again later if anything breaks. I highly recommend this unit now,...

Rowenta DW2090 Effective Comfort Cord Reel Steam Iron with 300 Hole Stainless Steel Sole Plate 1500 Watt, Turquoise

So far, so good.
My old Rowenta died. Well, it fell on the floor and broke, so maybe it committed suicide. That old iron was easily the longest-lasting iron I've ever had. I find they don't last long, for me. Although maybe I am to blame, in that I never clean them out. Either way, I had a coupon for Bed Bath & Beyond and had to iron my clothes, so off I went...
-
They have a few choices there, and what I wanted was something decent that had a retractable cord. My old one didn't have the retractable cord, and storing it was a pain. This model was the only one in the store with a retractable cord, so I got it.
It's a powerful iron. Works very well.
Two things I don't like:
1) It's top heavy. Or something. Maybe the base is too small. TWICE right after I bought it, it fell off my ironing board while resting there. That was really annoying. The slightest bump to my board will send this thing to it's doom. I'm glad it still works after that. Annoyed me.
2) The...

Great Iron so far
Coming from sub $20 irons in the past, I decided to invest a little more money this time around with hopes that it lasts longer that a couple of years. I've heard about Rowenta and liked how this model has the retractable cord as well as the 300 steam holes and stainless steel plate. What a huge difference this iron makes compared to my old cheap "disposable" irons! This iron gets out creases that my old iron was never able to do. I'm no expert at ironing and perhaps the $100+ models might be even better, but for my purposes of ironing my work shirts this iron is perfect; I just hope it lasts.

Rowenta Standards Have Fallen
I purchased this iron to replace my Rowenta Professional (made in Germany) which served me for 7 years. A year later the cord reel function no longer works - big disappointment as this appeared to be the main selling point for the iron. Another quality issue also emerged recently - the power cord seems to be fraying from the inside just at the point where it enters the cord storage chamber. Not much I can do about it - the iron will not reel in the cord to stop it from constantly resting on the edge of the cord storage chamber. This Iron was made in China. Cheap labour. Lower quality. Do better Rowenta.

Better Chef 470S Electric Egg Cooker, Stainless

Super Quick and Convenient!
I received my egg cooker today and had to test it out. Perfect - and I do mean perfect! - hard cooked eggs in minutes. Very simple to use. I was so impressed I just ordered another one for my parents! Will do a follow up review if any problems come up.

So Far So Good
I have had the egg cooker for about two weeks now and it has performed flawlessly every time I have used it. There is a minimal amount of effort getting the unit ready to cook and the eggs have come out perfect EVERY time.

Great if you eat lots of eggs!
The build is a bit flimsy and I don't expect it to last for very long (Made in China, after all), but it very quickly makes hardboiled eggs without having to boil water and increase the humidity in your living space. One bonus from this cooking method is how easy they are to peel, I sometimes had problems with boiled eggs, so far, every one peels easy.

Oreck Commercial 8000.25 Upright Vacuum Disposable Bag, For Upright Vacuum (Pack of 25)

ORECK VACUUM BAGS EASY TO INSTALL
These bags arrived earlier than expected at far less than I would have paid at my local Oreck store. I recently purchased the vacuum, so this was the first time I changed the bag. It was so easy to do, nothing spilled from the old bag. I have since learned that the reason the bags were cheaper is that they are paper, offering just one layer of dust protection. This is okay for commercial use where you really may not care about dust particles. However, the ones offered in the Oreck store have five layers of protection, keeping the dust inside the bag. This is why they cost more.

vaccum bags
this are pretty good vaccum bags, I always use them they really do the job not only at home but also in my job since I'm a housekeeper

PASSABLE
DEFINITELY MUCH THINNER THAN THE ORIGINALS, BUT THEY WORK. WOULD I BUY THEM AGAIN, AFTER USING THEM FOR A WHILE, NO I WOULD NOT. I KNOW THAT'S DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I HAVE PREVIOUSLY SAID, BUT EARLIER I HAD NOT HAD THE EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD BY NOW.

Zojirushi NS-WAC10 Micom Fuzzy-Logic 5-1/2-Cup (Uncooked) Rice Cooker and Warmer, 1.0-Liter

Gotta give this one to the wife...
My Thai wife used to make fun of me because I made rice with a covered pan. For a couple of years she humored me, then told me she wanted me to get a rice cooker. After looking around some, I chose this one, and I have to give it to her, she was absolutely right. :) It is effortless to make perfect rice every time, once you learn the secret. The secret is to choose the right setting on the machine, and to use less water than you are probably used to. For Thai Jasmine rice, we use 1 measurement of rice to 1.5 measurements of water and use the white setting. (it does not matter if it is a half cup, cup, or one of the rice cookers cups, which is about 3/4 of a cup)

Just for the rice alone, this would be a good purchase, but the truth is, I use it for far more than rice. Being able to wake up to real grits, as opposed to the quick variety, steel cut oatmeal, my wife's rice porridge, etc. are all easily done with this cooker using the porridge setting. One accessory I...

Very Good Rice Cooker
I bought this a couple months ago for use in my apartment and I'm very pleased with the purchase. It does a great job of cooking brown rice as well as white rice which is why I bought it. It keeps the rice warm for a very long time without drying it out too. The timer feature works great too, I just set it early in the day and my rice is always done at the exact minute I want.

I have absolutely no complaints with this purchase and would definitely buy it again if I had to.

Nice tool for the kitchen
Having owned 1 rice cooker before this one I was tempted to replace my old one with a similar one that cost about $20. It lasted me 22 years and was still going strong when someone in my household ran cold water on the hot glass lid. Quite a mess by the way. I assumed all rice cookers burned on the bottom before I can across the $50-$100-$200-$400 rice cookers. I had sticker shock for about week before I finally took the plunge and bought the Zojirushi WAC10 5 1/2 cup. Let me back up. I actually bought a 10 cup Aroma as a replacement. I liked it and the $40 price. The problem was everything I read said you had to cook at least 2 cups. It's just my wife and I and despite what I read all over the place the two of us cannot eat 2 cups of uncooked rice. I brought it home and verified 2 cups was too much and we don't like leftover rice. I am only a 230 pound fella so you can guess I am a pretty light eater (ha-ha). I sold it to a buddy at work and bought the Zoji. I am impressed...

Filtrete Ultimate Allergen Reduction Filter, 1900 MPR, 14-Inch by 24-Inch by 1-Inch, 6-Pack

New Ultimate Filter is Even Better Than the Advanced Filter
My house uses forced air for heating. The disadvantage of such a system is that it distributes the dust in the air everywhere in the house. However, it is supposed to be possible to filter out the dust. Over the years, I have steadily increased the quality of the filter that I use for my forced air heating system. However, until now I have not noticed any obvious difference in my allergic reactions that seem to start with the heating season.

There are cats in my house. I have read that cat dander, tiny flakes of cat skin shed by the cats, is five times smaller than household dust particles. It stays in the air much longer than ordinary dust before it settles. Because of its small size it requires a more efficient filter to get it out of the air.

Until three years ago, I used of variety of filters with mixed results. However, then I started using the 3M Advanced Allergen Filters, the ones in the blue wrapper. These have a 3M Microparticle Performance Rating of...

Absolutely works to control odors
I was a huge fan of 3M Filtrete 1500 MPR, 6-Pack, Ultra Allergen Reduction Filter, 14 x 24 x 1, because it is excellent at controlling dust, mold spores, and pet dander. Then, I discovered Filtrete Ultimate Allergen. Ultimate Allergen has the highest MPR I could find (3M Filtrete 2200 MPR, 6-Pack, Elite Allergen Reduction Filter, 20 x 25 x 1 is the highest, but I could not find a size to fit my furnace). At 1900 MPR, it not only filters all of the above, it also claims to capture the finest particles -- those that cause odors.

I have two air conditioners in my home which have an uptake near each other in the same hallway. I used Ultra in one furnace and the Ultimate Allergen in the other. The difference between the rooms fed by Ultra versus Ultimate Allergen convinced me to switch to Ultimate Allergen. Where once my house...

Doesn't work as well as I had thought in my house
These are very expensive filters and from all of the reviews that I've read; people are very satisfied with them. While I'm sure that the filter outperforms cheaper ones; in my mind it's questionable as to how much. After using one for 3 months; my house still has the same amount of dust as it always did, and the pet dander seems to be no better. Since there is obviously more filter material in these, than in cheaper ones; they would have to be doing a better job. I'm just disappointed that they haven't resulted in any noticeable reduction in the dust or dander, as mentioned above. I'm just giving my honest opinion, based on actual use. I'm glad that the filter seems to work so well for others, but it simply doesn't perform for me as well as I had hoped.

Miele Parquett Twister SBB 300-3

Almost Perfect
The original parquet brush with an even line of stiff bristles caught the dust but just moved larger debris along the floor. This new brush is a great redesign, perfect for hardwood floors. The bristles are spaced alternating high and low allowing the necessary airspace to capture more than just dust. The head rotates easily for access to those difficult to reach places. However, it does nothing but floors, and since most people have a rug & floor combination it becomes just one more vacuum head that you have to haul around.

Don't get me wrong, if you care about your hardwood floors ,this is a keeper. I am buying another for my second vacuum cleaner.

Perfect would be a re-introduction of the original combination tool with rotating head that cleaned rugs and didn't scratch the heck out of hardwood floors.

Although Miele purports to love communication from consumers, they have never answered any of the emails I've sent suggesting that they...

a must for hardwood floors
This brush is great, I would never use anything else on my newly refinished hardwood for fear of scratches. My only complaint is that it should have been included when I purchased my miele. The standard brush "for hard floors" with the metal bottom kind of scares me.

I am so glad I bought this.
I have mostly hard wood and tile flooring. The parquet brush is so much easier to use than the combination carpet / smooth floor tool that came with my Miele canister vacuum. I save the other tool for my area rugs. The parquet brush is lighter and so easy to maneuver under beds and other furniture. No regrets with this purchase.

Shark 12 Volt Cordless Hand Vac

Great little vacuum
I've had this vacuum for about 4 years. It never failed. I recently just bought another one because it made more sense rather than replacing the filter and the charger. Product held up and was easy to empty. One snap and the bowl comes off.

Shark 12 Volt Cordless Hand Vac - Lightweight handheld vacuum - Good for our cars, stairs other quick clean-up jobs
Purchased this Shark handheld vacuum about two months ago and have used it at least once per week since, so feel comfortable reviewing it now.

The unit we received has decent sucking power, but you really have to put your hand right up to its mouth to feel it... meaning, this is not a big, upright vacuum that sucks in debris from two or three inches away. It is made for, and does a good job, sucking things in along the crack of stairs (and especially along the wall/carpet line in our teenage son's room) when you move its mouth over the stuff you are trying to suck up. Bottom line is that this handheld operates as expected, and picks up things very well.

Cleaning the collection basket is fairly easy; accessing the debris area is done by the simple push of a button, and the basket comes out without any difficulty, allowing us to just dump everything into a trash bag. We have a Golden Retriever, so the only real challenge is getting the fine hair and dust out of...

Shark 12 Volt Cordless Hand Vac
I had one before but left the charger in the connector so it blew out. I am very happy with this Cordless Hand Vac. It is so easy to use and I use it more than my regular vacuum cleaner. This Shark has great suction and gets everything. It is wonderful to use for picking up items that do not require a full size vacuum cleaner.

Comfort Zone® Digital Electric Oil Filled Radiator Heater CZ9009

First unit defective, second unit seems to work
I purchased this model because it was the only heater I could find that lets you set a temperature. Most other electrical heaters are simply "low, medium, or high" heat. I wanted something I could set at 55 degrees for my garage and just know that it was working without having to switch it on and off. It's just like the thermostat on your wall- set it and forget it.

The first unit I purchased did not work. There is a big sticker on it that says, "if unit does not work, DO NOT take it back to the store, call 1-800-xxx-xxxx" so I called the number. What a waste of time. They asked me when I bought it (an hour ago) and then told me to take it back to the store. That sticker needs to go.

The local store that sold me the unit is really good about exchanges and I tried out the replacement unit in the store before taking it home.

The unit radiates heat nicely. It is good for heating large spaces slowly and consistently. I read that "oil filled" units...

Did not find the description to be complete
Based on what I read, I thought this heater had a programmable timer that would allow me to set it to come on every morning at a given time and then shut offin a couple hours. The timer function is an extremely primitive couontdown timer that only allows you to set 1-10 hours before it turns on or 1-10 hours before it shuts off. You cannot have both active and you cannot set a clock timer for on or off. It works well enough, the description was just not complete and was a tad misleading.

Great Heater!
Bought this heater two winters ago to heat a room in our house that isn't used often and doesn't have its own heat. This unit has kept the room at a regular 65 degrees two winters in a row. I appreciate being able to set the temperature and walk away. There's no 'high' 'medium' 'low' and guessing what temp is going to come out, I want 60 or 65 degrees, that's what I get. When guests stay in that room, they can have 71 degrees if they so desire - and have been shocked at how quickly it heated up. I also LOVE the digital display.

I'm writing this review because I'm about to purchase my second unit for one of our basement rooms that could use a little extra heat. We live in the Pacific Northwest which doesn't get super cold, but the dampness will ruin your house and furnishings if it isn't kept in check!

Don't forget to read the users manual so you know how to properly set the temp, as that's the only thing which isn't clearly evident. If you're reading this, I...

MaxiMatic ESB-301F Elite Cuisine Single Cast Burner 1000-Watt Hot Plate, White

does it's job well, even for arts and crafts
This hotplate is compact, affordable and a good value, and offers great control over heat. I bought it for its solid, flat plate, which is much easier to clean and much more stable than exposed-coil heating elements, which tend to rattle around in their drip pan. I bought this not for cooking purposes, but for arts and crafts -- I use it in my studio for steam-setting dyed wool in a canning pot, and also for heating wax and encaustic paints. The "warm" setting and exceptional control over temperature is especially helpful for heating wax and encaustic, which have very low melting- and flash points. While an electric griddle might be a better option for precise temperature control, this hotplate is generally pretty well-made for its price and has a good, multipurpose heating element.

A BIG FLOP
We thankfully tested this unit out before using it in our camper. I wanted to ensure that it would work well for cooking simple meals and heating up canned goods. I also wanted to make sure it wouldn't get too hot underneath the unit and damage our new laminate countertops.

The unit wasn't level when sitting on our granite kitchen counters. It was about 1/4" too high on one leg. We removed a rubber cushion, and that solved the problem (though we shouldn't have had to remove a protective cushion in the first place). Strike ONE.

After 30 minutes on the HIGH setting, a pot of water (about 1 1/2 quarts) was 190 degrees. The unit would cycle on and off (the light would be on, then turn off) without reaching the boiling point. STRIKE TWO.

The other HUGE problem with this unit is that there is no heat shield to prevent the heat from reaching the countertop. We used a thermometer to check how hot the granite countertop became and were shocked that it...

Fast heating
I recommend this good burner. This stuff is small --doesn't take much space -- and easy to carry. By my experience, when I turn it "High" (4 degrees: Warm, Low, Medium, High), it takes less than 10 minutes to boil 1 liter water (the time spent may not be the same depending on several factors). I think it should be suitable for people who don't have a kitchen or want to travel with a portable electric burner.

Hair causes it to seize
The seal on the roller ends needs substantial imprvement because pet and other hair gets caught there and eventually the roller seizes up and it all has to be disassembled to clean which is annoying and time consuming. Cleans great otherwise.

This is a really great product, even though its a little older model. i know other newer models are available (Zoom, etc) but this one still works and works really well. easy to use and goes right under the chairs, sofas and stuff around the house. Nice wide brush comparable to a regulat vacuum. i was concerned about the potential noise.... but its quieter than most upright vacs. It sucks up pet hair well and almost everything else visible on carpets and hard floors, provided it goes up the tube. its light and easily manouverable. Dont expect the really deep down cleaning you might get with a high line $300-400 powerful upright machine, but do expect an easy to use syatem that for 90% of what you need, does a great job. We are so happy with it that while we were going to also buy an upright, we chose not to, as we really dont need it. the ding is for a need to pull out the assembly once in a while to remove the stuff that gets wrapped around the rollers, but it really isnt a...

Works, but barely adequate
TurboCat is just ok. I have had several TK 25 air heads from Switzerland. They were amazing. Last one finally wore out, I cannot find one anywhere. I've tried 3 other heads, two I sent back bacause of lack of power. Kept the TurboCat. It does work, but half the beating power of the TK 25. I'm stuck with it until I find another TK 25. I don't want to go to an electric head, but it may be the only choice since all the air heads currently on the market are poor performers. TheTurbo Cat is heavy, clunky and far less powerful than the lightweight TK 25, but it does work. My central vac is one of the most powerful on the market (double the size needed for my house), so my issues with different air heads are from the heads, not the central vac unit.

Whirlpool Kenmore Washer Water Pump 3363394 3348015

Not an OEM part
This part was advertised as an OEM part direct from Whirlpool. It's a Supco LP 116 and it's an aftermarket part. While it may be suitable it can be purchased cheaper.

Was Perfect
Was perfect for what I needed. Fits my Kenmore washer, installed easily, and works great. What more can you say.

Cheap fix vs a new washer!
I'm no more than an intermediate DIYer and this fix saved me from buying a whole new washing machine. $10-$15 is way better than a several hundred for a new washer. The part fit like and OEM part the old clamps/hoses fit right on the inlet and oulet. Even the metal clips that hold it in place were also perfect fits. I've only run the washer 6-8 times so I can comment on longevity, but so far so good.

Dyson Multi-Angle Brush Attachment

it works!
just got around to using it yesterday. it really helped with cleaning the ceiling fans. works with any dyson model with the 2 included adapters. i have the dyson slim. it's not a smooth swivel. it has a few "notches" for pre-set angles so it doesn't change angle while moving.

This attachment is the best thing they could have invented.
I love this angle brush for dusting ceiling fans and all other kinds of things. You can adjust it to almost any angle. Dyson is the best vacuum on the market and now has some of the best attachments out there.

Dyson Multi-Angle Brush Attachment
This attachment is so much better than the dust brush that comes with the vacuum. You can dust your ceiling, walls and other surfaces by just a few turns of the brush. I also found that I can attach it where the original brush sits on the cleaner. That way you have it with you for instant dusting jobs. I rate it 5 stars, but for some reason I could not get the stars to work. Instead it asked me to create my own review.

Heat Mate HMN-110 Radiant Kerosene Heater 10000 BTU 380 Sq. Ft.

Love This Little Heater
This is a great little heater if you don't need to heat huge spaces. At 10K BTU it is powerful enough to heat my 640 sq ft basement to 75 degrees even with a crack in the window and outside tempreture of 30 degrees. If you use a good quality Kerosene such as Crown 1-K or a reputable K-1 Clear suitable for use in unvented Kerosene heaters, you get virtually no odor from this heater. Adjust the flame correctly and it is a sweet burner for sure. I may use this one regularly to knock the chill off on those extra cold nights. I would recommend this heater.

One of the Best Radiant Kerosene Heaters on the Market!
I have owned my Sengoku Heat Mate for two winters now. Because I am an emergency preparedness buff, I studied up on the topic of kerosene heaters for sometime. What I like about kerosene heating is kerosene is a very safe fuel to store. It is a lubricant and is not volatile like gasoline or propane. I also like the fact that if the electricity goes out, I can have this back-up heating source (and lighting and cooking!) using kerosene. I am extremely happy with this heater. This heater, unlike other radiant heaters, has a very long catalytic converter. This results in a cleaner burn and a greater heat output. The most important thing you should know before buying this heater is that you need to buy a good wick for it. The factory-included wick is junk. You will have a lot of odors and not a good, clean burn after a couple of uses. I suggest you order a good quality wick from Miles Stair's Wick Shop (Google it). For about 6 bucks you will have a high quality wick instead of the...

Excellent pick for a smaller unit.
This is a solid little kero heater. It doesn't have the traditional twist -type knob for on/off and wick adjustment. Instead, it has a adjustable lever that slides up and down. Next to the lever is a push-type button to extinguish the heater, which sends the lever up to the off position. To start the heater, you simply push the lever all the way down to the bottom position and hold it there briefly. This engages the battery-operated ignition and lights the wick quickly. Interestingly, the heater has a audible chiming sound that is heard when the unit is ignited. After the unit lights ( in about 1-2 seconds) the lever can be released. This causes the lever to sit in the wick adjustable range on the lever slide.I have not had to adjust the wick once since purchasing this unit about 1 month ago.The fuel tank is of the type that is removed, filled and placed back in the heater from a hinged cover on the top of the unit.I was a little confused about the fuel level meter at first but have...

Dimplex DFI2310 Electric Fireplace Deluxe 23-Inch Insert, Black

Very lifelike!
It looks amazingly like a real wood fire in our fireplace. It's easy to install, as long as your fire box is big enough, and you have a nearby electrical outlet. This "deluxe" model DFI2310 differs from the standard model DFI2309 by having a larger, brighter, even more realistic flame, for a somewhat higher price. The heaters can be turned off completely, for when it's warm, but you want that cozy fireplace ambiance.

On the "needs improvement" end, the remote control only turns the insert on and off; it does not control the optional heating elements, which can only be turned on or off at the unit itself. Mine arrived with all switches "on" so I got heat as soon as it was plugged in. It would be better to ship with all switches set to "off."

Also, there's no crackle or pop sound, so if wood fire sounds are important to you, this is not the electrical insert for you. However, if crackles and pops aren't that important to you, and you're looking for a very...

Great product!
I'm writing this review because of how helpful I found other reviews before buying this fireplace. I did my homework, reading some 150+ reviews and watching Youtube videos of people's Dimplex fireplaces, before deciding on this model and it paid off! This is probably the best electric fireplace out there for the money (if there's a better one I can't afford it anyway!) I very happy with it and everyone who comes to my house thinks it looks very real (they all knew I bought a fake one so I'm still waiting to "fool" someone who doesn't know!) CSN (the company that provides the fireplace) has the BEST customer service dept to call. Whenever I called, I got someone different and they were ALL very nice and helpful.

The fireplace flames look as real as you can get, so real sometimes you think you hear crackling! It does make a slight whirring kind of sound (motor?) but you can only hear it in a quiet room (no TV, etc) and only if you're really listening for it. But it is an...

Cozy fireplace feel with no mess
For many years in the winter months, especially at Christmas time, I have made a real fire in our fireplace to get that cozy "focal point of the room" feel. Which is great, except for the work involved buying the firewood, trying to get the kindling to light, adding more wood when necessary, and of course the long and dirty cleanup the next day. What if I could click a button on a remote to obtain the same result, and then click a button to turn it off, with no cleaning ever required? Well now I can.

This insert is a perfect fit for my fireplace and is bright enough and visible even behind the glass and metal gauze doors. While the "flames" are not 100% realistic, they are extremely effective in getting the effect I was looking for. And it is a sheer joy to be able to turn the unit on and off with the small, simple remote as needed.

This insert also has the ability to generate heat, but I have never used it for this purpose. Note that the "heat" option cannot be...

Masterbuilt 20010611 Butterball Professional Series Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer, Black

A safe and convenient turkey fryer - with limitations
I bought this fryer for my thanksgiving turkey, and have used it once successfully. I fried a 13 pound bird with 2 gallons of oil for 4 minutes a pound, and got a delicious, moist, and decidedly not greasy turkey. Set up took around 10 minutes, mainly to familiarize myself with the few parts, and clean up was fairly easy as the spigot on the bottom of the fryer made draining the oil pretty simple, and everything pretty much wiped clean.

Living in an urban area, where flaming mishaps are a really bad idea, I appreciate the safety of this fryer over an open vat of oil over an open flame. And plugging in is much easier than hauling propane tanks around. The outside of the fryer remained cool to touch at all times. It is obvious that a good amount of thought went into making it safe to use in an indoor environment.

Some limitations:

The fryer only holds two gallons of oil. Actually, the "max fill" line is at around 1.6 or 1.7 gallons. I added the...

Every day is fry-day!
I started using this Indoor Fryer 2 days ago. Best catfish ever! I also fried turkey wings and a whole chicken the same day. I had no trouble at all with a 4 lb chicken and bought some small turkeys to fry later. Imagine frying a whole chicken in 17 minutes! No need to imagine it, you can do it!

Easy to use even for a beginner. Cleanup is a breeze! The oil drains perfectly clean if you want to use it again. I was able to drain it all back into the bottles without using a strainer.

The Masterbuilt company has answered every question in a very timely fashion. I would recommend this Indoor Fryer to anyone looking to have fun frying foods.

Almost Perfect
Received this as Xmas gift and finally got around to using it today (took me awhile to get all the oil, marinades, and accessories, and to find an excuse to fry a Turkey, and to get over my "fear of frying"). Overall I have to say it's a great piece of equipment, and now that I have taken the plunge, I will likely be using it for frying other foods.

It heated up quickly and my oil thermometer confirmed the temp was spot on, (although my green ready light did not light up as I thought it should). It cooked a 10.5oz Turkey to perfection in exactly 45 minutes. It is recommended to cook 3.5 minutes/pound which would have been 36.75 minutes. I decided I'd rather slightly over than under cook so I set timer for 40 mins. At 40 I checked internal temp and it wasn't quite there so I gave it another 5 and then it was definitely done. Clean up was no worse than the usual Turkey roasting pan, et al, The drainer worked perfectly and I was surprised to get back nearly as much oil as I...

Capresso 485.05 MT600 Plus 10-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Thermal Carafe

Great coffee maker
I bought this to replace a KitchenAid 10 cup that unfortunately had an untimely death after a broken carafe. This was the second KitchenAid that I had to throw away because they stopped making replacement parts. I decided to go with a thermal carafe and bought this Capresso and a Melitta (Melitta 10-Cup Thermal Coffee Maker) based on reviews. They both make great coffee and I've had no problems with dripping as another reviewer posted. I do like the concept of the permanent gold filter, but for whatever reason, I find my coffee is better tasting with paper filters. I noticed the Melitta seemed to have a more robust flavor and it doesn't use the gold filter. As a result, I've put the gold filter in the cabinet and am using paper filters. Also, using a lab grade thermometer, my coffee brews at about 180 degrees F. Too hot for me to drink before allowing it to cool, so I'm pleased with temperature.

Comparing to the Melitta thermal brewer, the Capresso seems to be...

Very happy with this coffeemaker
I purchased this coffeemaker a month and a half ago. I was initially hesitant after reading several reviews of previous and similar models, specifically about coffee not staying warm and high spill rate during brewing. So far I have had no issues with any of that.

This coffeemaker has been great, with easy to brew, easy to program, quick to brew, hot and tasty coffee. I would definitely recommend it to friends looking for a new one.

Brewing:
Takes less than 10 minutes to brew a full pot. Easy to start, auto-shutoff, and drip-stop for pouring while in the middle of brewing works well.

Carafe:
The carafe keeps our coffee hot for a good amount of time (a couple hours) and warm even longer (another couple hours). I've poured myself a cup after 4 hours and still had a cup that was acceptably warm in my book. I've had no issues with coffee leaking while brewing, and we have not been overly cautious when placing the carafe. We make sure the lid is...

Used to be great machine, now overpriced junk
I have had the older version of this machine for about 8 years now. It is our favorite coffee maker and we are a bit picky about our coffee. The old machine had a rubber gasket start leaking water, so we decided to replace the machine with a new one.

I will note that the old machine was a bit more expensive, and was made in Portugal. Capresso was bought out by a competitor who now is selling the machine a bit cheaper, presumably because they make it in China now.

But while it used to be worth the money, now it is not.

Right off the bat, during the first water-only brew I noticed issues that prompted me to return the machine.

1) The machine itself appears to lean backward maybe a millimeter or two. I would have not noticed that (who would), but this causes a problem with the carafe -- the coffee no longer goes straight from the machine into the carafe through an opening in the middle of the lid. Instead it flows on the side of the lid,...

Honey-Can-Do BRD-01435 Collapsible Tabletop Ironing Board with Pull out Iron Rest

The only review you'll need to read
I wasn't very satisfied with this product and here's why... first, the ironing board is made out of what seems to be particle board. It is a flat surface and seems to be a sturdy particle board but i would have much rather preferred the board to be made out of metal with air hole pockets like most ironing boards have because it let's steam from the iron escape making it easier and better to iron on. They need to put this in the description of this product. The actual ironing board cover consists of the cover and a foam insert that sits below the cover. The cover is baby blue in color and has lines all across the cover running towards the tip of the ironing board which you can't tell from the picture. I'm not a fan of this design but as for the cover and foam insert... both are very thin as what most table top ironing board have but it does work. you can iron on the board but like i said a wire ironing board works much better and holds up better and is sturdier. The pull out iron rest...

Table Top Ironing Board

This ironing board is the perpect size for my sewing room. I don't have to get out my big ironing board to press seams as I sew. I use this a lot. Great for the sewing room.

Zojirushi EP-RAC50 Gourmet d'Expert 1350-Watt Electric Skillet

Worth every penny
I had the older version of this skillet. It was half the price but only came with one pan. I loved it. The nonstick coating was virtually indestructible. I used metal utensils in it all the time and never got so much as a scratch. Well, I became so confident in the strength of the coating that I used a steak knife to cut a steak in half while it was in the pan to see if it was done. It wasn't knife proof. I guess I could have just ordered a replacement pan from Zojirushi, but I decided to buy this EP-RAC50 instead. It's better than the old one was. It's a little bigger, a little nicer looking. But I really like having the two pans. I can brown meat for spaghetti in the grill pan, and then boil noodles in the other. I don't even use the stove top anymore. You don't have to worry about pans being centered on the burner or sitting flat. Plus you have much more precise control over the temperature. It heats very evenly and the thermostat seems to be very accurate. I also like the fact...

Zojirushi EP-RAC50 Electric Skillet - Great performer so far
Gets hot quick.
Keeps the heat it is set for.
Looks good.
Very easy to clean.
Steaming food works great.
Cooks to perfection (so far).
Glass top makes it "fun" to use and see the cooking process.
A 2lb. meatloaf made in this pan was the best I've eaten and I didn't have to use the oven.
Next up is: Roast chicken and baking.

Wish:
1. That the pans were perfectly flat. The pans slope slightly to the outer edges and more oil is needed to compensate for the depth of the oil at the center. So trying to cook with less oil is difficult because the oil gathers toward the edges.
2. Hope they can make a Wok like pan insert that can be purchased as an option.
3. That the cover be tight fitting with the vent in the cover.

Other than that the product is the best electric skillet I've used.
I would recommend it to anyone.

How does it hold up after 6 months of use Feb. 2010 thru July 2010:
1. I only use...

Mulitasker - if you have a small kitchen/limited space - this is great
I wish I had this in my apartment living days! I got this as a present for a hotpot party from my husband. We were expecting 12 people over and I'd been using my cusinart fondue pot (which has worked when it's 4 to 6 of us). I have another electric skillet but it's old, cheap and not reliable. Hubby got this and (1) sticker shock, holy crap! (2) wow it's big! it's really big. I had thought about returning it b/c of the cost. I'm glad I didn't.

We used this as our non-spicy hot pot. Poured some seasoning, broth and water, bam - ready in a matter of minutes. It boiled the broth. I was surprised. So this is great for a decent size group of people. It didn't burn my food - it kept the broth at a stable temperature. The meats/foods were cold (refrigerated/frozen) but we didn't notice any drastic temperature changes. Even heating for all uses (steaming, boiling, pan frying)

It's also a pretty looking machine, very easy to use, very easy to clean! Non-stick - for real -...

I'm trying to find collection bag for my Stanley 2.8hp 4 Gallon Stainless Steel Wet/dry Vac bought from costco. This one works!

Hard to Find Elsewhere, Amazon is the Best Place for These/ Pack of 3
We weren't able to find the filter bags for our 4 Gallon All Around EZ Shop Vac from the place we purchased the Shop Vac at--(Walmart). We find it interesting that they don't carry replacement bags for a vacuum cleaner that they carry. Anyway, my next stop was Amazon, wonderful Amazon. I should have checked here first, and saved ourselves the trip. They offer this set of 3 replacement bags at a fair price, and Prime shipping makes it even better. These arrived in packaging just right, and right on time!

Oster 4096-009 Designer Series Beehive Blender, Chrome

A Superior Product
I recently purchased the Oster 4096-009 because my old blender couldn't handle making the frozen fruit smoothies I really enjoy. I chose this product because the brand and style has been around since my mother was young. I was a little turned off by the idea of the glass beaker so I ordered the stainless replacement and put away the glass one. I also ordered the blend-n-go cup because of the smoothie thing. The blender is awesome. It looks great on my countertop and works better than any I have ever owned. Don't be put off by the concept that this blender only has two speeds - that's all you need. Be honest - how many times have you used anything more than pulse or full bore on your blender? I thought about it and realized that was all I ever used. This is one heavy duty unit, capable of reducting ice to snow and frozen fruit and alcohol into some incredible frozen drinks. A must have for anyone who's into shakes, smoothies or other blended products.

GREAT DEAL!
My new $37 "beehive" sits next to my soon-to-be-repaired $100+ KitchenAid, and it works great. I make smoothies every morning for breakfast and this baby kicks it. My son is brutal: ignores all procedural instructions, fills it with p.b., bananas, ice, and yogurt and then turns it on! It pauses a second then gets right to work. I'm like, "you have to put the ice in while it's running," and he's, "No you don't." We rarely take it apart to clean it, just rinse right away, sometimes a little suds, eh voila, it's done. I can tell you though the blades they are sharp!
Regarding other reviews, it is loud, but hey, it's a blender! And do not need any other speeds, just the one and pulse. Can't say about frozen drinks/ice slushees, however does fine with ice for smoothies. Great deal!

Still good, but more cheaply made every year.
Bought this Oster to replace my 2 year old Oster(same model)that broke - the drive pin that spins the blade broke off. We make fruit smoothies every morning and this model seems to be the only sub-$100 blender that can handle the job (we tried many others).I supposed we could have fixed the old one, however, we must grudging accept that new appliances don't last long and that replacement parts are as expensive as buying a new one and a hassle to find.

Problem is that Sunbeam continually finds ways to cheap out on the construction.
This new unit is substantially lighter and contains alot more plastic than the 3 year old model. The chrome housing is thinner. And because of all this I think its alot louder.

This Oster still has the power to do the job so that is good, however I wonder if it will last even the 2 years the previous one did, given the cheap construction.
Apparently the only way to get the same power and better quality is to spend $350+ on...

Kirby 235406 Pet Owners Carpet Shampoo - Use with Kirby Home Care System

Not what I thought
I ordered this shampoo expecting to be able to use it with my Kirby shampooer; however, after I had already used it on 1/2 of my carpet and was noticing that it was drenching my carpet and not sudsing like the normal shampoo does, I reread the bottle which said it was for STEAM shampoo systems and could be used in any type of steam cleaner. I felt mislead when I came back and saw use with Kirby Home Care System since that is what I view my Kirby shampoo attachment as. Luckily it did not ruin my carpets and it did actually clean them.

This product is wonderful! Smells great and works great on any tough stain!
Pet stains or orders are eliminated with this product. I use this for non pet stains as well and works wonders! The most impossible stains have come up!! LOVE IT!

Takes the smell out!
I have an older dog (14 years), and he has begun to have accidents in the house. The smell was awful, but using this shampoo has gotten the stains and the odor out of the carpet. Would highly recommend for pet owners.

Miele AH-30 Active HEPA Filter (S2 / S7)

Much better than the plain charcoal filter.
I own the Miele Cat & Dog S7260 vacuum which comes stock with only the charcoal filter. I kept the charcoal filter in for almost a year before noticing it needed to be replaced. I'm aware the charcoal is pretty much only good for eliminating smells, however this filter does a good job at it as well. I can also tell it works much better at eliminating any dust being blown from the vacuum, as I don't feel as stuffy after. I'm not sure why the HEPA filter doesnt just come stock with all their vacuums, because it's a must.

miele
Miele products are well built and this product is a great aid in keeping a semblance of clean air in the house. we have cats and it definitely helps.

Filter does the job
HEPA filter defined by Miele for the applicable vacuum. It lasts 4-6 months depending on the vacuuming conditions. It can wear out sooner if the dust bag is overfilled.

Evolution Robotics Mint Plus Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner, 5200

Works well and hassle free
I use the Mint 5200 to clean the hardwood floor in a 22'x22' living/dining area and for a separate 9'x15' kitchen. It does an excellent job despite a large number of obstacles like area rugs, cabinets, dining table, side tables etc. It sometime looks like it will get stuck in some narrow weirdly shaped corner, but it always finds it way out and does not seem to skip anything.

The Mint 5200 comes with two different cleaning pads, one for dry sweeping and one that has liquid reservoir for wet mopping. A set of two reusable clothes to be used with each pad is also provided. I always use the dry sweep mode first and then do wet afterwards.

The setup is pretty straight-forward. The navigation cube goes to corner of the dining table with flashing blue light pointing into the room. Then a cloth is attached to one of the cleaning pads and the Mint is ready to go. Mint first finish the living area, then continue to clean the kitchen before it goes back to its starting...

Wonderful helper
We bought the original 4200 mint cleaner a year ago on our laminate flooring and it has been a great helper, no more back breaking manual cleaning under the beds and free us to do other stuff. So we decided to buy the 5200 a month back.

and here are the observations:

Pro:

- Much better battery life than 4200, it now covers a lot more area.
- Much reduced battery charging time. It takes 7-8 hours for the 4200, not really an issue if you let it charge overnight. The 5200 charges in about 2 hours. Good for those spring cleaning / emergency visitor days.
- The universal charger adapter allows for use around the world (or at least here in Singapore: 230v, 13amp) without need to buy step up or down transformers.
- The mopping pad containing a water reservoir is surprisingly simple, elegant and effective. Simplicity is the epitome of good design.
- Love their included C batteries, wiping and mopping cloths.
- As usual, love the option...

Pet-friendly, automated light sweeper/mopper of choice
The single most important thing to know about the Mint is that it is not a vacuum or a machine meant to do heavy sweeping/mopping. It is more appropriate to consider it an
automated wet or dry swiffer meant to maintain areas with hard flooring. If this is what you're looking for, then you should definitely consider the Mint.

Pros
1. Quiet for noise-phobic households or pets
2. Excellent for keeping up a dust/hair free floor once established
3. Can clean under low furniture/beds
4. Covered an 800 sq.ft. living space with multiple dividing walls well without missing ANY areas
5. Can be paused (unlike the 4200 model Mints), and resumes well.
6. Attempts to slow down and/or avoid collisions after an obstacle has been identified.
7. Can be used with reusable or consumable sweeping/mopping pads

Cons
1. Not fully autonomous
2. Can't cross some normal thresholds
3. Has trouble with short mats that have slight...

Zojirushi NP-GBC05 3-Cup (Uncooked) Rice Cooker and Warmer with Induction Heating System

Worth every penny.
I've had this rice maker for about 7 months. I vacillated for over a year before making my purchase--not only was the price scaring me off, but this model had been on the market for a while and I wanted to see if anything new and even better came out. However, when I read the mediocre reviews of the newest Zojirushi models--and prices nearing $450!--I thought it was about time I bit the bullet and shelled out for this rice cooker.

This was possibly THE best purchase I've made in the past five years. I ended up getting it for about $30 less via the auction site that everyone's familiar with, but Amazon's price is pretty darn competitive. I opted for the 3-cup model because I'm by myself most of the year and wanted something that could handle smaller batches (as little as 1/2 cup in this case!) for when I'm just cooking for myself, but had the flexibility to handle larger quantities. This size is perfect for a 1-4 person household (3 cups of cooked rice is closer to 6...

Zojirushi Rice Cooker and More
I recently purchased this product from an Amazon merchant and love it! Since I've started incorporating more whole grains into my diet, and being a rice-lover, this item appealed to me from all I'd read, and the GABA rice setting is what really sold me. I've successfully used it to cook Lundberg short grain brown rice on the GABA setting, hulled barley on the GABA setting, organic millet, and whole oats on the GABA setting. There aren't instructions that specifically direct you as to how to cook these particular grains using this product, and the barley I cooked needs to have the amount of water I used the first time tweaked for perfection, but I'm really excited about having the use of this rice cooker for other whole grains. I intend to try whole buckwheat next. One thing that is very nice about using this gadget is that there is no wasting of water lost to steam from over-boiling in order to thoroughly cook these grains. I highly recommend this product for people, like me, who...

WOW!
I don't leave comments or reviews for many of the products I buy. But when I do.. the product is exceptional...

The Zojirushi NP-GBC05 has simplified my life greatly!!! If you desire/want to make brown/wild rice and steel-cut oats on a regular basis, this thing will save you DAYS of cooking in just a years time. Once you start eating steel-cut oats, you will never go back to the soupy, mush that is rolled oats. Why don't people eat more steel-cut oats? Well they take almost 3 times or longer to cook. Enter.... Zojirushi Magic!!!!

For breakfast... the night before... I load it up with steel cut oats and water(3:1) and have hot, perfectly cooked oats at 8 am the next day. Toss in some dried/fresh fruit and some almonds and honey ... and...BAM! A breakfast for elitist champions!

After wiping down the non-stick container, I fill it up with white/brown/wild rice before leaving for work. Again, always ready(and again perfectly cooked) 7pm for dinner...

Culligan IC-EZ-1 EZ-Change Icemaker/Drinking Water Filter, 3,000 Gallons

Easy, convenient
My refrigerator has an ice maker, but no built-in filter. For years, I had been buying the snap in in-line type, but the prices have been creeping up and the availability has been diminishing.

This Culligan model has them beat. The price is good, it's easy to install, and very easy to replace cartridges. If you have an existing plastic water line, installation is trivial. This also works with copper lines, and is not much more difficult to use with them, except the instructions are not clear. The outside box says you can use either copper or plastic, but the included instructions don't mention the copper, or the additional tools needed to file the edge as the outside box mentions. Despite this, installation is trivial enough that it's not likely to be an issue.

If you do have copper, and need to fit things in a tight space, you might need to replace one end of the tube with plastic since short lengths of copper are relatively inflexible.

I also got...

Filtered ice a must!
My fridge had an ice maker in it for nearly a year before I used it because I kept forgetting to buy a filter, I had to have someway to support it and have it not behind, but beside the fridge (the fridge sticks out too far as it is) This filter is the perfect answer. It was insanely easy to install, hasn't leaked a bit, is easy to replace the filters (just twist out the old and twist in the new) and the water tastes GREAT! I filter all my drinking water so putting unfiltered (ie disgusting) ice in my water or tea was out of the question! I love this filter and I love my ice maker! (the price on this is great, too!)

Cost effective; straight forward intallation
I chose this filter because it has been connected to the refrigerator at work for over two years and we have never had any issues with it.

A couple notes:
1. It takes up a lot of space behind the refrigerator, so I mounted it in a cabinet next to the fridge. This resulted in several advantages including easy access to the filters (don't have to pull out the fridge to change the filter), and an easy way to watch for leaks (so far, there aren't any). The attached photos show my installation.
2. I opted for the expensive LDR 509 5175 Pex 25-Foot Ice Maker Connector tubing. The tubing is flanged on both ends, so the connections are secure and leak free. The tubing can be cut in the middle since the straight ends fit into the filter. Inserting the tubing into the filter required a significant push, but resulted in a very secure connection. I didn't need 25' but the extra cost was worth the worry free installation.
3. The water in our town is quite good,...

J-2 Jiffy Garment Steamer with Plastic Steam Head

Amazing
As a fashion student with extensive experience in retail, I would consider myself an authority on steamers and irons. I was able to get this steamer from the store I used to work at when they relocated. It heats up very quickly and is super easy to use. The only downside is that when you're steaming the base tends to move around a bit on its wheels, but I wouldn't let that deter you from purchasing it. Jiffy steamers are the best, and every retailer I've worked for uses Jiffy. They're well made and last for years. Mine has been in constant use, for hours every day to steam the clothes in the store, for about five years. Now I certainly don't use it as much as it was used in the store, but it's still in great condition. This steamer is a great investment.

Got this steamer in the early '90s
I love this steamer! I've had it since the early 90s and it is still going strong. In the beginning it took a while to get used to the fact that it wasn't an iron. lol I would definitely buy another if this one stopped working. After all these years the handle is just starting to leak a few drops when steaming but it has been a wonderful product.

Couldn't Live without it
I have been using these steamers for the past 20 years. They are very durable and work extremely well. The only thing I would suggest when buying a steamer is to be sure you get one with a metal head. When it heats up it acts like an iron as well. With this steamer, you simply hang your clothes on a hanger, kick the steamer on and steam the wrinkles out within minutes. Far easier than using an iron every day. If you have to prepare your clothes for work, school, etc., every day, then do yourself a favor and get a steamer. You won't regret it.

Dirt Devil BD10165 Gator 15.6-Volt Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner with Detachable Brushroll

So far so good...
After an issue with our Shark pet hand vac not being able to charge anymore, we found this. I am not particularly fond of the color red in general and we all know DD's are a very bright, blinding red. I have used it before the 24 hour charge period, and naturally it began to die on me. Why its not almost fully charged already concerns me, to say the least. I do not recall receiving the brush attachment with the product.

Pros:

It seems to pick up nicely and have good suction power for the price.

The filter is washable and so is the dirt cup.

The charging port is on the back of the handle, not on the underside like other products.. This is much more convenient.
__________________________________________________

Cons:

Takes a long time to charge
The dirt cup is small, but this isn't really a big deal for me because when I'm cleaning I always keep a large trash can or trash bag with me at all times and can empty...

does not have wall attachment; so sits on shelf or floor
has plenty of power but could have better design for unloading and could create more room for more dirt; should have wall hang-up option

Great for a small apartment!
Is a great supplement to a vacuum cleaner. For all those times when i dont feel like lugging out the full size vacuum cleaner this is a quick and easy way to clean up crumbs, hair, dust balls, etc...a quick mid week cleaning. It does NOT replace the vacuum cleaner but i find that i use it almost daily to quickly zap up any obvious messiness and therefore find the weekly vacuum clean much less daunting because the house has been kept pretty clean all week. Battery life is acceptable to me but maybe I just have realistic expectations...last about 15 mins at full power id say.

Breville JE98XL Bundle Juice Fountain Plus Juicer with DVD

juicer good
This Juicer is a great value. My mother-in-law has a certain info-mercial juicer that this beats the pants off of. It is better built (like all Brevel products) easier to clean and does a better job. For those like myself that don't want to spend $400 on a juicer this is the best that I've used.

Well satisfied!
We have been well satisfied with the Breville juicer... and the sellers prompt service. The DVD is a game/life changer I'm glad it was packaged with the juicer, just what we needed to get on the juicing pathway with passion, it's one those things you like to share with friends.
I'm particularly happy with the "quick cleanup" aspect of the Breville, I think it really makes the diet change much more do-able. I question if the cleanup had been a "labor intensive thing" if we would stayed with it...again "well satisfied!".

AWESOME Juicer
stars because this juicer is all you need!! It's great at everything I've juiced in the past 2 weeks and is very easy to clean up. No need to spend more this is the perfect one!!

Electrolux Home Care 62550D Power Paw Vacuum Tool

Has some flaws
This is the 3rd one of these i have owned. Problem is they arent built tought. When cleaning the steps if you put to much pressure on them the cases seperate and crack. After the 3rd one i found that before you even use it apply some apoxy on the seems so it wont come apart and makes it 10 times stronger. This last one has been in service for a very long time. Just a tip i thought i would pass on.

Works fine
I just got a Dyson DC18 slim a few days ago and after reading too many reviews where people found the Dyson Mini Turbine attachment disappointing, with a few recommending the Eureka Power Paw as a better alternative, i got this item at Best Buy for $20 (the Dyson tool is $70). The Power Paw has worked very well, the vertical cleaning position is neat. It seems sturdy and simply made.

My only complaint is that it's loud with a high pitched sound, but i find it tolerable, my ears adjust after the initial jolt when it first comes on. For the price, design and good functioning, and my satisfaction with it overall, i must give it 5 stars. I'm very happy, they only had one left on the rack when i got it at the store, i lucked out.

OK but far from great
It does do an ok job but your vacuum better have A LOT of suction or the rollers won't spin. I'm probably gonna buy a dyson but this will hold at least until I find one on sale.

Brabantia Universal Replacement Felt Underlay Ironing Board pad

I give it a heartFELT recommendation.
If you are the designated ironer for your family, it might not be a chore you relish. Having the correct tools to accomplish any job is often the key to making it less painful. This felt underlay arrives in one large piece to accommodate a variety of ironing board sizes. The directions say it is best to put the length of felt on the floor and then flipping your ironing board over and on top of the felt. Take a marker and draw the outline of your board onto the felt. Take a heavy duty scissor and cut along your the guideline markings. Put the ironing board upright, place the felt, now cut perfectly to size on top to cover the felt and the board. This thick and substantial felt provides a firm underlay as you iron, that is both functional as well as making the iron glide more easily. You can buy some paper thin pad that doesn't accomplish much or this one that actually makes the mind numbing chore of ironing a more efficient and enjoyable process.

Exceptional Quality Ironing Board Pad
It's a tad shocking to see a price for an ironing board pad that is approaching twenty dollars, but once you get this pad in your hand and feel it, you can begin to see the difference between a typical felt pad and this thick and supple pad. Brabantia is a Dutch company that is well known in Europe, but you won't commonly run across Brabantia products in the US. This thick and flexible pad is made of viscose (a fabric material related to rayon), and it is thick enough to form a very good layer underneath your ironing board cover, but breathable enough to work well with steam ironing. You simply cut the pad to your own size using a strong pair or scissors, and then affix your cover over it. I would not have given it five stars because of the price, but once I received it and used it with my Brabantia ironing board cover, I can easily give it a five star rating.

Nice Felt
I received this product and immediately noticed the quality. Much nicer than any pad I've had previously. Fits nicely and can be easily trimmed if needed. Of course this goes under an actual ironing pad and makes ironing much easier...no more ironing board hole outlines on my clothes. Try this with a non-stick silicon pad...really nice.
