Great fan
The fan is sharp-looking and works quite well. It's perfect for the office -- it's not so powerful as to blow my papers everywhere, but it cools and circulates air very nicely. It's sharp looking and, most importantly, quiet. Both the oscillating motor in the base and the fan motor itself are nearly silent; the only sound is the soft hum of the fan blades (even at full speed). I'm impressed with the fan, and after owning several comparable fans from different manufacturers, I can comfortably say that this is my favorite.
Depends on what you want.
Facts:
This fan is not quiet. It is rather loud, even on its lowest setting.
The fan head pivots, but it pivots in predetermined increments. You get horizontal, diagonal, or vertical angles, but they are set by the manufacturer. You cannot freely set the diagonal angle as it locks into a pre-decided place. This isn't a good thing for getting the flow "just right".
The whole fan unit vibrates rather strongly as it runs. I guess the fan blades aren't load balanced. This is not a big deal, but be aware if you want to run the fan on a table that has things which rattle.
The fan puts out PLENTY of wind. It's quite strong and has a lot of airflow.
This is a well built device, solid, and will probably last many years.
Overall:
If you want a well built fan with plenty of power, and don't mind noise, vibration, and being unable to set the vertical tilt to your own discretion, this is your fan.
Nice fan, makes a little noise
Bought the fan for use at my office desk and just set it up today. Nice looking fan and pushes a lot of air. Oscillation is great, but two drawbacks:
1. The fan does not tilt down, so if you plan on putting it on a desk shelf and pointing it down at yourself, you're out of luck.
2. It makes a little noise, sort of like a very fast, high pitched cricket, but it's not loud - similar to a background noise that can barely be heard through the sound of the air. Loud enough that I can hear it, but it doesn't seem to be disturbing any of the folks around me and seems to be going away (or I'm just getting used to it) as I run the fan. If you're very sensitive to small noises, this may be annoying, but doesn't seem to be bothering me, though I know it's there.
Overall, a cool looking fan with great air flow, 3 speed setting for stationary mode and 3 speed settings for oscillation mode. I think Ozeri should look into the small noise it makes, but I've...
