Nostalgia Electrics ICMW400 4-Quart Wooden Bucket Electric Ice Cream Maker

Fantastic Machine
I did my homework before buying this and it truly paid off. This is a great machine for a great price. I highly recommend this ice cream maker. Easy to assemble, use, and clean.

So far, so good!
I purchased this product a few weeks ago while it was apparently on sale ($49). The item shipped 4 days after I ordered it (a little longer than I was used to from Amazon). However, it arrived in good shape. I unpacked the ice cream maker and was pleased to find that all the parts were accounted for. I successfully made a batch of caramel macchiato ice cream without a hitch. It froze well, wasn't grainy, etc... That may have had as much to do with the recipe as the machine itself, though. Also, the recipe made around a quart, so it will be interesting to see how well the ice cream maker freezes and churns a gallon recipe. But so far, so good!

Works Great So Far
Got the ice cream maker right on time, as advertised. Made the first batch on July 4 using a recipe I found on AllRecipes.com. The gallon of peach ice cream lasted about 15 minutes under the onslaught of 10 family members. I fear I have created a monster. Demands are pouring in for a reprise of the peach, and to make a try at strawberry. I could well finish the summer considerably more spherical than I am now.

The wooden bucket is fairly hefty and robust. The motor assembly seems a little light weight, likewise the hardware and fasteners, but, so far, it all seems up to the job. Instructions are straightforward, no problems there. It was easy to clean. I'm liking this. A lot.
