It's a cord, and you pull on it.
It is advertised as a chain you pull on, and it does exactly that. It was easy to install and seems to work rather well. It never once did not let me pull on it, and it pulled the shorter chain it was attached to 100% of the time.
works & looks great
It's sometimes the simple things in life that make you happy. Moved into a new place & couldn't reach the ceiling fan/light. Got 2 of these pull chains for fan & light control. Problem solved. And they look very nice too.
Works as expected
Using it to extend the length of the pull-chain for my laundry room light. Not much to say about this except that it meets the product description.
