Wrinkled in box, tough to install, worked for a while but now it's leaking again
It was deformed in the package, and vulcanized to itself, requiring careful work to peel it apart and stretch it back into original shape for installation. Put it in an appropriately sized box next time.
It lasted a whole year.
Now it's got a nice little rip in the bottom , my machine is leaking again, and I need yet another bellows.
Lasted 9 months
We got four years out of the seal that came with the machine. This one didn't even last a year before it mysteriously got a much worse rip than the slight hole the factory one had.
Fixed our washer!
I had to do some research on our Whirlpool Duet washer to make sure this was the correct seal. We purchased the washing machine from Sears a few years ago and it started leaking, but when I went to the Sears website, the number superseded to another making things a bit confusing. On top of that, Sears wanted $125 and told me it was a few weeks out.
I received this item within a few days of ordering. I think it ran me $80 with shipping.
The washer came apart easy enough, the seal was a bit aggravating to install, making sure it was seated correctly all around the lip of the tub. I ended up wiping a small amount of soap around the inner section of the seal where it slips over the washer tub, and this helped installation tremendously.
After everything was reassembled, the washer works perfectly! No leaks at all.
I will say that comparing the original to this seal, all the markings on it and the color were the same so I have no doubt that this is an OEM part.
